The world's social shopping platform – discover amazing stuff, collect the things you love, and buy it all in one place
Challenge: At Fancy, our mission was to blend discovery, curation, and commerce into a fluid, social experience. Over nearly eight years, I led the design and UX/product team, driving evolution across web, mobile, TV, and wearable platforms while ensuring a cohesive brand identity.
Solution: I created and scaled a modular design system, developed UX flows and research to guide product decisions, and collaborated closely with engineers to carry designs into implementation. My work spanned high-level strategy, cross-device consistency, and hands-on design for apps, websites, and marketing.
Outcome: Fancy became a recognized social shopping platform, featured multiple times in the App Store and Google Play, and attracted meaningful brand partnerships like Hermès. The modular system and cross-platform product helped the company scale design efforts without losing consistency, supporting product growth into new device categories.
What I Learned: Working at Fancy taught me how to manage design evolution across multiple platforms while keeping a cohesive brand experience. I sharpened my skills in systems thinking, cross-device consistency, and bridging vision and execution.
