From home to summit

Challenge: Gear was a partner project during my time at Fancy, created to curate lifestyle and adventure products in one seamless ecommerce platform. The challenge was to design both a consumer-facing shopping experience and robust backend tools for managing products, orders, and content at scale.

Solution: Our team collaborated closely with Gear, and I drove the design process from concept to delivery. This included wireframes, prototypes, a refreshed brand identity, and a modular design system that kept the platform scalable. I worked alongside engineers to ensure feasibility and smooth translation from design to implementation.

Outcome: The result was a polished ecommerce platform that supported Gear’s expansion and simplified daily workflows for managing products and content. Its modular design made it easy to adapt as the product catalog and business grew.

What I Learned: Working on Gear within Fancy’s partner ecosystem taught us how to balance brand storytelling with operational efficiency. For me, it reinforced the value of modular systems and close collaboration with engineering to deliver scalable ecommerce solutions.
